what the fuck . . . ?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OK, read this (don't look at the comments).
Now read the post before.
See?
You can read the comments on the first one now.
Seriously, what the fuck was he thinking?
Addition:
To anyone wishing to comment here on the fallacy of modern science, and the potential of chakras, homeopathy, feng-shui and earth-motherhood to return our society to "balance", please consider my opinion of postmodernism before doing so as a many people find being called an ignorant cunt offensive.
  1. Well, Punkscience.
    There is theoretical science and there is hard science.
    The theoretical type is based on hypothesis and is open to bash testing. At one time the evidence suggested a flat earth, but we all know what happened to that. This is the stuff of probability – climate science, social science.
    The hard stuff is underpinned by repeatable experiments. They work every time. Out of this comes technology, microwave ovens, mirrors and mobile phones. We may not know why or how it works but we know it works, every time.
    When I was a child I had measles and German measles. I didn’t get mumps but my younger brother did and he also had yellow jaundice. We both smoke cigarettes and drink large quantities of beer and we are both still here!
    Figure that!
  2. I wrote what I wrote, nothing more, nothing less.
    You, Punk, have interpreted the evidence to suit your own belief system.
    And you are the one who claims to be a scientist – how quaint!
    If you are uncomfortable with comments that challenge your belief system then don’t allow them!
    I will not be back, there is nothing of value and nothing to learn [other than how to be an arrogant wanker] here.
  3. When I wrote I would not be back I meant the blog itself, not this thread, for the blog is worthless as are you at this point in time. You, Punk, however, need some advice.
    You are suffering from the keyboard equivalent of Tourette’s or more precisely Coprolalia. Please seek medical help.
    And your “interpretation” about my views bears no relation to what you describe as “reality” nor is it based on written evidence. So how, may I ask is anybody supposed to take you, or your views, seriously.
    You are a disgrace to the scientific community, to humanity and to the Green Party. If I knew who you are I would be initiating disciplinary procedures.
    I note you are currently “studying for a PhD” but have not actually got it yet. If your blog is anything to go by I suggest you are counting your chickens mate and if some arsehole gives it to you then the value of all those who precede you are diminished.
    Try also having a look at Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle. I know it’s not your bag, you like things to be fixed, but it might, just might, make you question your own attitude to Belief, for you sonny are a Believer of the nutjob variety.
    Sadly I will not be around when you grow up to say I told you so, but you will remember, I guarantee it. I Know!
  4. Ha haaaaaaaaa! I glory in your ire! I bathe in your wrath!
    How would you start disciplinary proceedings against me? Under what authority? Do you not get this "free speech" thing!?! I am not writing as a representative of any organisation or political party- I advocate supporting the Green Party as I advocate eating plenty of fiber and a little cardiovascular exercise in the countryside. Because evidence shows that these actions are good for you and those around you! Voting Green will save this country from collapse in a couple of decades time. Eating fiber and cardiovascular exercise keep you healthy, raise endorphins and endows you with social interaction and an appreciation for the environment we live in (maybe not the fiber there). So why am I a disgrace to the Green Party when I condemn advocacy of a policy that will endanger the lives of millions of children? Maybe you are confusing the Green Party with the jehovah's witnesses. The GP was founded as the political arm of a social movement that was itself galvanised by scientific revelation and hard evidence- not upon the abuse of children or the hugging of trees because "they are the earth-mothers nipples".
    Believe me, I know all about science- there are several peer-reviewed papers out there with my name on. I know all about Heisenberg's uncertainty principle too- Hawking covered it in a Brief History of Time. What I don't understand is why you persist in responding to my tirades of abuse. Do you not understand that I perceive you to be morally bankrupt? It certainly seems not so I will explain for you: You advocate a course of action which is irrational and demonstrably harmful to the children of parents like you. You are conceited enough to imagine that you know better than the sum of human medical knowledge, as laid down by the British Medical Association:
    Do you know what the phrase "standing on the shoulders of giants" means, Weggis? Well, you aren't standing on the shoulders of giants. You are standing in dog shit. Up to your knees in it and rising. And the reason for that is that you cannot adequately identify which human beings to trust. You are a sociopath who is unwilling to accept that people who you find distasteful, for whatever bizarre reason, know more than you. I trust that you have no formal scientific education, yes? Well that's what I meant when I wrote "I know what's real and what isn't". You see we live in a world which is deeply, deeply flawed and unjust. I 'm sure I don't need to explain that to you because you and your fellow spiritual healers probably sit around discussing radical literature and how great it would be to wrestle control of the government from the corporations and give it back to the electorate as I do. But you go further. You look at the scientists who sell out to the government and business interests and you think we're all like that. You read the reports of doctors who ignore symptoms and misdiagnose illnesses and you hear terrible reports about surgeons whose incompetence kills babies on the operating table and you think they're all like that. You have no sense of scale. You have no understanding of the system that is in place to identify falsehoods and incompetence and outright lies. I'm sure there are plenty of cases you can cite, like the rest of the morons who wrote on Philip Booth's blog, about how they knew a child who got sick from a vaccine shot. But that is the exception and not the rule, as evidenced by medical history. For the BMA to have sanctioned a dangerous and unnecessary vaccination program would be like having the government conduct strip searches on everyone who wanted to use public transport. It would be systemic dysfunction leading to societal collapse. As this is clearly not the case, you are wrong. End of story. Deal with it.
    PS. Thanks for the "Coprolalia" thing, I love it. You twat.
    PPS. Do you really not know how a microwave works? Or an oven? Or a mirror? Jeeeeeezus! You are fucking dumb. Maybe more time educating yourself and less time advocating epidemics might be a good idea.
    PPPS. FYI:
    "Pertussis, also known as whooping cough, is a highly contagious disease caused by the bacterium Bordetella pertussis;. . . .
    Worldwide, there are 30–50 million pertussis cases and about 300,000 deaths per year. Despite generally high coverage with the DTP and DTaP vaccines, pertussis is one of the leading causes of vaccine-preventable deaths world-wide. Most deaths occur in young infants who are either unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated; three doses of the vaccine are necessary for complete protection against pertussis. Ninety percent of all cases occur in the developing world."
    Do you get that Weggis? HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS, POTENTIALLY LETHAL DISEASE THAT YOU HAVE ALLOWED YOUR CHILDREN TO BECOME POTENTIAL CARRIERS AND VICTIMS OF.
    You are not the first fuckwit in human history to risk the health of your and other people's children because you think that you know better than doctors:
    "The dangers posed by falling immunisation coverage are real. For example, in 1974, Japan (where
    vaccination is not compulsory) had a reasonably successful pertussis vaccination programme in which
    nearly 80 per cent of children were vaccinated. There were only 393 cases of whooping cough that year,
    and no deaths. In 1975, pertussis immunisation in Japan was suspended for two months following the
    deaths of two children who died within 24 hours of receiving the vaccine, although it was later found
    that their deaths were not caused by vaccination. Rumours that the vaccine was unsafe meant that by
    1976, coverage for two year olds had dropped as low as 10 per cent. In 1979 Japan suffered a major
    pertussis epidemic with more than 13,000 cases and 41 deaths. In 1981 the government began
    vaccinating with acellular pertussis vaccine, and the number of pertussis cases dropped again.16
    A similar situation occurred in the UK following publication of a paper in 1974 that suggested a link
    between the pertussis vaccine and encephalopathy causing serious conditions of the nervous system,
    such as epilepsy and learning disorders. This led to a fall in the number of children immunised and
    hence an increase in cases. There were about 100,000 extra cases of whooping cough between 1977
    and 1980.
