I was recently told, in a semi-intoxicated conversation with a Dutch fishermen, that you could walk from the Dutch coast to Scotland on the cod in the North sea. I didn't even try to argue.
Bollocks! If I’d known that I wouldn’t have spent all that cash on a ferry ticket.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. I was tempted to ask the chap in question whether he used that particular mode of transport but I felt this would be unwise in the middle of the North Sea, where accidents can so easily happen.
